Career Paralegal (Junior) – Commercial Property Law (Full-Time, Permanent)

About the Role 

 

This role is a fantastic opportunity to start a career as a junior Paralegal in a fast-paced award winning law firm specialising in commercial property law.  This is a permanent full time role with on the job training, best suited to an enthusiastic person looking for professional satisfaction working in a collaborative and supportive team for a premium client base. 

If successful, you would be working alongside our lawyers and administrative team in our state-of-the-art offices located at 185 Clarence Street, Sydney.  

Please note that law students will not be considered for this role, as the role is for a candidate seeking a longterm career as a Paralegal. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

 

  • Assisting the legal team with preparation and management of legal documents for commercial property transactions, including contracts for sale, leases, and settlements 
  • Conducting title and property searches, due diligence, and e-conveyancing using PEXA and other relevant platforms 
  • Liaising with clients, agents, solicitors, and external stakeholders throughout the transaction process 
  • Supporting solicitors with file management, matter progression, and client communications 
  • Managing deadlines and tracking critical dates 
  • Assisting with general administrative tasks and office procedures as required 

 

What we are looking for in a candidate 

 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills and attention to detail and must be self-motivated and enthusiastic. The candidate must be comfortable taking on a large workload in a busy practice, working under time pressure and dealing with sensitive matters. The role requires excellent drafting skills and written expression.  

 

Skills and qualifications 

 

On the job training within a supportive team will be provided. Prior law firm experience is not a pre-requisite although applicants with legal or administrative office skills or experience (or relevant tertiary qualifications) will be favourably considered, including:  

  • proficiency in PEXA, LEAP, Teams or Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Certificate IV in Legal Services, Diploma of Paralegal Studies or similar
